Timber windows maintenance products

The Sikkens Special Cleaner and Sikkens Maintenance Protector is a set of products designed to clean and maintain timber frames in order to extend their life. The set is suitable for frames painted with water based paints and stained.

They bring new shine to your windows and doors and protect again the effects of weathering at the same time. Wtih regular use (twice a year - each Spring and Autumn) you can extend the life of the finish.

Sikkens Special Cleaner - quickly and effectively cleans timber frames and prepares the surface for Maintenance Protector, dries with no residue, water-borne, removes ballpoint pen, ink, pencil and rubber marks from metal parts.

Sikkens Maintenance Protector - water repellant and soil resisting , extends maintenance periods, freshens colour intensity and sheen. It is very easy to use. Application does not require sanding or making tape. There is no need to buff or polish after application.

Pack contains a 250ml bottle of cleaner and 250ml of maintenance protector, sponge, application instructions and Security Data sheet.

Usage:

First clean the window frames with SIKKENS SPECIAL CLEANER - (neat or thinner with water to a maximum of 10%) to a cloth and wipe the whole timber surface lightly. Apply SIKKENS MAINTENANCE PROTECTOR evenly to the dry surface using enclosed sponge. The protector is dry in 10-20 minutes. Working temperature should be between 15-25 degrees Celsius.

Notes: Not suitable for alkaline, waxed, oiled or porous surfaces.
